*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
In the city of Dnipro, the Dnieper River is wide and slow-flowing, forming a series of bays and embayments that warm up well in summer. By late May, water temperatures usually reach around 19–21°C, and in July–August, they often stay between 23–26°C, sometimes even higher during prolonged heat. The large surface area helps the river maintain this warmth well into early September, though stronger winds or inflows from the upper river can slightly cool the water.
Swimming in the Dnieper within the city is popular but requires attention to local water quality and safety. There are several unofficial and some maintained beaches — for example, near Monastyrskyi Island and on the left bank areas — where the water is calmer and entry into the river is convenient. However, swimmers should be cautious about currents, motorboat traffic, and water clarity, as parts of the river closer to the industrial zones or bridges can have less favorable conditions. Still, in summer heat, locals and visitors alike enjoy refreshing swims, especially in the more protected bays and near recreational zones.
