** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Uzunköprü, a town in Edirne province, lies near lowland lakes and the Ergene River; water temperatures in these shallow inland waters vary markedly by season. Typical surface temperatures in spring (March–May) range from about 8–16 °C (46–61 °F) as waters recover from winter cooling. In summer (June–August) shallow areas commonly warm to roughly 22–28 °C (72–82 °F), and in sheltered shallow bays can briefly approach 30 °C (86 °F) on hot days. Autumn (September–November) sees a gradual cooling to roughly 12–20 °C (54–68 °F), while winter (December–February) surface temperatures often fall to near 3–8 °C (37–46 °F), especially after cold spells.
As for swimming, there are few if any formally designated, supervised bathing beaches in the immediate Uzunköprü area; therefore swimming is not broadly promoted as an organized recreational activity. Locals sometimes swim informally during warm summer months when surface temperatures are comfortable, but authorities and environmental monitoring historically flag portions of the Ergene basin for variable water quality and agricultural or industrial runoff. For that reason, public health advice commonly discourages casual bathing without recent water-quality confirmation, and the absence of lifeguards and facilities further limits safe, official swimming opportunities.
