*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Çerkezköy district in Tekirdağ is crossed mainly by the Ergene River and dotted with small streams, drainage channels and farm ponds rather than large natural lakes. Seasonal water temperatures in those inland water bodies typically follow the regional continental-Marmara pattern: in winter surface waters often sit around 4–8 °C (39–46 °F), spring sees a warming to roughly 8–15 °C (46–59 °F), summer can push shallow ponds and slow-moving stretches into the 18–26 °C range (64–79 °F) on warm days, and autumn cooling brings temperatures back toward about 10–16 °C (50–61 °F). Local variability is high: shallow, sunlit pools warm more quickly while deeper, faster-flowing sections of the Ergene stay cooler.
Despite summer temperatures that in theory can be comfortable for bathing, organized swimming opportunities in Çerkezköy’s rivers and ponds are very limited. The Ergene and many nearby water bodies have a history of industrial and agricultural pollution, fluctuating water quality, variable currents, low visibility and a lack of designated, supervised bathing sites; for these reasons authorities and health advisors generally do not promote open-water swimming there. People who want safe swimming usually use municipal pools or travel to monitored coastal beaches rather than swim in local rivers or ponds.
