*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Bremgarten is located along the Reuss, where the river forms broad bends around the historic old town. Water temperature reflects seasonal conditions and upstream alpine influence. In winter, the Reuss near Bremgarten is typically around 3–5 °C (37–41 °F). During spring, temperatures rise gradually to about 9–14 °C (48–57 °F). The warmest period is summer, when July and August usually bring river temperatures of roughly 17–21 °C (63–70 °F), with short peaks slightly above this in hot weather. In autumn, cooling sets in steadily and temperatures drop back below 12 °C (54 °F).
Swimming in the Reuss at Bremgarten is allowed and well known locally, especially in summer. River swimming is popular thanks to generally good water quality and traditional entry and exit points along calmer sections. However, the current can be strong and water levels may change after rainfall or dam regulation. For these reasons, swimming is recommended only for confident swimmers who are familiar with river conditions. Outside summer, the colder water limits swimming to experienced cold-water swimmers.
