*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Waldshut-Tiengen is a city located in the southwestern part of Germany, specifically in Baden-Württemberg state. The city lies along the Wutach River, a tributary of the Rhine River. The Wutach River offers an element of natural beauty and it greatly enhances the outdoor charm of Waldshut-Tiengen. Water temperature in the Wutach river vary greatly depending on the time of year. During the summer months (June - August), perhaps the best time for swimming, the water temperature can go up to around 20-22° Celsius (68-72°F).
Regarding swimming in the Wutach river, it's important to take into account that despite the agreeable water temperature during summer, the river can sometimes be fast-flowing depending on rainfall and it's advised that only experienced swimmers consider swimming here. At other times, the water may not be appreciably deep enough to swim comfortably in some areas. It's recommended that people interested in swimming in the Wutach river should acquire local knowledge on which spots are safe and also consider other factors such as current strength before deciding to go for a swim. The local authorities do not typically encourage swimming in this river, for safety reasons, and indeed in certain areas, it might even be prohibited. For the majority of potential swimmers, visiting a controlled environment such as a local public pool may be a safer and more convenient alternative.
