** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Soria (in Spanish — Soria), in the autonomous community of Castile and León, is known for a mix of glacial mountain lakes and lower-elevation reservoirs that present very different water temperatures. High-altitude sites such as Laguna Negra remain cold throughout the year: winter surface temperatures often hover around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), spring 4–10 °C (39–50 °F), summer rarely exceeding 8–14 °C (46–57 °F), and autumn cooling back toward spring values. By contrast, larger, lower reservoirs used for irrigation and recreation can warm substantially in summer, with winter values around 4–8 °C (39–46 °F), spring and autumn typically 8–15 °C (46–59 °F), and summer peaks commonly in the 18–24 °C (64–75 °F) range depending on depth, exposure and seasonal weather.
Swimming opportunities depend on the specific water body and local rules. Many protected mountain lakes discourage or prohibit bathing for conservation reasons and because very low temperatures and sudden depth changes pose safety risks, while some reservoirs have designated bathing areas and permit swimming in summer when temperatures are comfortable and water quality is monitored. Additionally, reservoirs supplying drinking water may restrict contact; therefore visitors should check local signage or municipal regulations before entering the water.
