*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Measurements of the Suceava River downstream of the city (in Romania) show that water temperatures vary broadly depending on season and location. In winter some spots can approach freezing (just around 0 °C), while during summer heat waves the river surface can warm up significantly, with occasional highs near 28-29 °C. On average though, for much of the year, the water tends to be cooler — daily or seasonal means often hover in the low to mid-teens (°C).
As for swimming, these temperature ranges imply that in warm summer days the river might be acceptable for bathing in slower, wider or more sheltered sections. But in colder months or in fast flowing stretches, it would be uncomfortable or even unsafe due to cold shock or hypothermia risk. Also, temperature is only one factor: water quality (pollutants, clarity), current speed, riverbed, presence of debris or obstacles are relevant. Without local monitoring or authorities’ guidance, one should be cautious.
