*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Ialomița (Romanian: Ialomița) flows through South‑Muntenia from upland headwaters into lowland plains, and its water temperature changes a lot with season, depth and flow. In winter surface temperatures commonly fall to about 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) in exposed stretches and can hover just above freezing in slower pools. Spring warming brings typical ranges of roughly 5–15 °C (41–59 °F) as snowmelt and rain raise flows. In summer the shallow, slow lowland reaches often warm to about 18–25 °C (64–77 °F), and in sheltered, shallow pockets temperatures can briefly reach 26–28 °C (79–82 °F). Autumn cooling generally sees temperatures drop into the 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) band as flows increase and air temperatures fall. Local reservoirs or regulated reaches may be warmer or colder depending on release patterns.
Swimming in the Ialomița is possible in many accessible lowland sections during the warm months, but it is not universally permitted or recommended everywhere. Authorities may prohibit access near dams, intake structures or protected zones, and water quality varies along the course — urban and agricultural stretches can have pollution risks. Safety hazards such as currents, sudden depth changes and submerged debris, plus cold shock outside midsummer, also influence whether swimming is sensible. For those considering a swim, the safest approach is to choose known, supervised spots in summer when temperatures exceed about 18 °C (64 °F) and to heed local signage and water‑quality information.
