*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Río Almanzora in Andalusia, Spain, is a Mediterranean river whose water temperature varies with season, flow and local geomorphology. In winter the river is cool, often ranging from about 8–14 °C (46–57 °F) in open pools and faster reaches. Spring sees a rise as runoff and sunshine warm the water to roughly 12–18 °C (54–64 °F). In summer, shallow stretches and standing pools can become pleasantly warm for bathing, typically between 20–26 °C (68–79 °F), though isolated shallow spots may reach higher temperatures on hot days. Autumn temperatures usually fall back to roughly 15–20 °C (59–68 °F) as air temperatures moderate and flows increase.
Swimming in the Río Almanzora is possible in many places, especially calm pools, reservoir sections and at its Mediterranean mouth, but it is not universally permitted or safe. Local rules, water quality, variable flow (including sudden rises after storms), submerged hazards and infrastructure such as weirs or small dams can restrict access. Low summer flows can improve thermal comfort but may concentrate pollutants or promote algal growth, while winter flows are colder and can be strong. Visitors should follow posted regulations and municipal guidance, assess conditions on site, and prioritize safety when deciding to swim.
