*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Aare is the longest entirely Swiss river, flowing for about 295 kilometers through some of Switzerland's most picturesque landscapes, including cities like Bern and Interlaken. It originates in the Bernese Alps and eventually joins the Rhine River. The Aare River is a beloved destination for outdoor activities, including swimming, rafting, and kayaking. In Bern, locals and tourists alike enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the river, especially during the summer months when the flow of the river is calm and controlled by dams.
The water temperature in the Aare varies significantly throughout the year. During the summer months, water temperatures can rise to around 18°C to 22°C (64°F to 72°F), making it perfect for refreshing swims. However, in the winter, temperatures drop to as low as 2°C to 5°C (36°F to 41°F), making swimming more of a cold-water experience, often limited to those practicing winter swimming.
