Veľký Draždiak is a popular urban lake in the Petržalka district of Bratislava, surrounded by greenery despite its city location. Thanks to its relatively shallow depth and sheltered setting, the water warms up quickly during the summer. From June to August, temperatures usually range between 22–26°C, making it very comfortable for swimming and ideal for families with children or casual bathers who prefer warmer water.
The lake has several spots where people can enter the water safely, and it is widely used by locals for recreational bathing. On hot days, its calm surface invites not only swimmers but also paddleboarders and people relaxing by the banks. Veľký Draždiak combines the convenience of city access with the feeling of a natural retreat, making it one of the most popular swimming places within Bratislava itself.
