Štrkovec Lake in Bratislava is an artificial urban lake that warms up relatively quickly thanks to its lowland location and shallow depth. During summer, the water temperature often reaches 22–25°C, making it pleasantly warm compared to rivers or mountain lakes. However, despite the inviting temperature, the lake is not officially designated for swimming, as it is mainly used for recreation, fishing, and walking.
Locals sometimes go for a dip on hot days, but most people use the lake more for relaxation by the water, jogging around its perimeter, or simply enjoying the atmosphere of a green oasis in the city.
