Location & Local Information
Jezero Milada, located near Ústí nad Labem, is another reclaimed mining lake that has turned into a favorite spot for summer recreation. Its large surface and relatively shallow shore zones allow the water to warm nicely in the warmer months. By mid-summer, the temperature often reaches the low to mid-20s °C, making it pleasant for swimming and spending long hours in the water. Because the lake is still relatively young and carefully managed, the water is usually clear and inviting.
Swimming is well supported here, with several access points, sandy or grassy beaches, and space for both families and more active visitors. The size of the lake means that there is room not only for swimmers but also for paddleboarders, kayakers, and sailors without disturbing each other. Many people from the surrounding region come to Jezero Milada specifically for its good water quality and the comfort of swimming in a large, open natural setting. It has quickly established itself as one of the most attractive bathing lakes in northern Bohemia.
