Lake Balaton near Nový Hrozenkov is a small, calm reservoir nestled in the rolling hills of the Zlín Region. Due to its sheltered location and relatively shallow depth, the water warms up fairly quickly in late spring, reaching around 17–19 °C. By midsummer, the surface temperature often climbs to 22–25 °C, making it comfortable for swimming and longer stays in the water. Deeper sections remain a bit cooler, providing a refreshing contrast on hot days.
The lake is a popular local spot for summer recreation. Its calm waters make it suitable for families and swimmers of all ages, and there are gentle banks for easy access.
