*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Sivas (Turkish: Sivas) sits in central Anatolia and is surrounded by several small lakes and reservoirs, the best known near the city being Hafik Lake. Water temperatures in these shallow inland waters vary strongly by season. In winter the surface typically hovers near freezing, roughly 0–4 °C (32–39 °F). Spring brings a steady rise, with averages in the range of about 6–15 °C (43–59 °F) as runoff and warming air temperatures heat the shallows. In summer, on warm sunny days, surface temperatures commonly reach 18–25 °C (64–77 °F) and can occasionally climb into the mid-to-high 20s °C (around 77–80 °F) in sheltered bays. Autumn sees cooling back to roughly 10–16 °C (50–61 °F) before winter chills set in.
Swimming is seasonally possible but not uniformly regulated; local residents and visitors often swim during the warmest months when surface temperatures are comfortable. Formal beach facilities, lifeguards and regular water-quality monitoring are limited around smaller lakes, so swimming may be discouraged in some spots for safety or pollution reasons. Municipal advisories, visible signage and local guidance should be checked before entering the water, and swimmers should be aware of fluctuating temperatures, sudden depth changes and limited rescue services outside organized areas.
