*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Toledo (Toledo in Spanish) in Castilla–La Mancha is located on the Tagus (Tajo) and is surrounded by several reservoirs and river stretches that people think of as “lakes.” Water temperatures in these bodies of water are seasonal and variable: in winter (December–February) surface temperatures commonly sit around 6–12 °C (43–54 °F), spring (March–May) brings a rise to roughly 12–18 °C (54–64 °F), summer (June–August) is when reservoirs warm most, typically 20–26 °C (68–79 °F) and in sheltered shallows can occasionally reach 27–28 °C (80–82 °F), while autumn (September–November) usually cools back to about 14–20 °C (57–68 °F). These ranges depend on factors such as depth, exposure to sun, inflow from the river, and recent weather.
Swimming is possible in many of the reservoirs and designated bathing areas around Toledo during the warmer months, but rules and conditions vary by site. Some reservoirs permit bathing and water sports with seasonal lifeguards, while others restrict access because of water management, water quality, boat traffic or ecological protection. In the urban stretch of the Tagus through Toledo, swimming is generally not recommended and may be prohibited for safety and water-quality reasons. Always check local signage and authorities before entering the water.
