*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Huelva (Spanish: Huelva) is a province and city in Andalusia with a mix of coastal waters, estuaries and inland reservoirs. Typical seasonal water temperatures in lakes and reservoirs near Huelva vary with exposure and depth: winter surface temperatures commonly range from about 8–14 °C (46–57 °F), spring from roughly 12–20 °C (54–68 °F), summer from approximately 20–28 °C (68–82 °F), and autumn from near 15–22 °C (59–72 °F). Shallow, sheltered embalses warm more quickly in summer and can reach the upper end of those ranges, while deeper or river-fed bodies remain cooler. Coastal lagoon and estuary temperatures generally track similar patterns but are influenced by Atlantic upwelling and tides.
Swimming in lakes around Huelva is possible in many places and is most comfortable from late spring through early autumn when surface temperatures exceed about 20 °C (68 °F). Whether swimming is allowed depends on local regulations, water quality and safety: some reservoirs and protected wetlands prohibit bathing to protect ecosystems or because of water extraction, while others provide designated swimming areas with lifeguards. Even where permitted, swimmers should check for advisories about pollution, blue‑green algae blooms, sudden depth changes and boat traffic, and follow posted rules to ensure safety.
