*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Cuenca (Spanish: Cuenca), in the autonomous community of Castilla–La Mancha, sits amid rivers, reservoirs and highland lagoons whose water temperatures vary with altitude and season. In the larger lowland reservoirs around the province, such as Entrepeñas and Buendía, surface temperatures typically run from about 4–10 °C (39–50 °F) in winter, through 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) in spring, to roughly 18–26 °C (64–79 °F) in summer, and back to 12–18 °C (54–64 °F) in autumn. Smaller, higher-elevation glacial or mountain lagoons in the Serranía de Cuenca remain cooler year-round, often only reaching 10–18 °C (50–64 °F) at the warmest.
Swimming opportunities depend on the type of water body and local rules. Many of the larger reservoirs are used for bathing, boating and water sports in summer, provided water quality is acceptable and municipal rules are followed, while some mountain lagoons and protected wetlands have restrictions or outright bans to safeguard fragile ecosystems or because they form part of water supplies. Visitors should check current local signage and municipal guidance before swimming: temperature, accessibility and legal allowances can change with weather, maintenance or conservation measures.
