*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Timișoara, in western Romania, is set in a temperate continental zone and is surrounded by several small lakes, retention basins and the Bega canal. Water temperatures in these local lakes vary with the seasons: in winter surface temperatures commonly drop to around 0–6 °C (32–43 °F), in spring they typically rise into the 7–16 °C range (45–61 °F), and in summer most shallow lakes warm to roughly 18–26 °C (64–79 °F), occasionally reaching 27–28 °C (81–82 °F) during heat waves. In autumn the temperature usually falls back toward 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) as cooling and increased rainfall reduce surface warmth.
Swimming opportunities depend less on temperature alone and more on local designation and water quality. Recreational bathing is generally only recommended or permitted at officially designated spots during the warmer months when temperatures are comfortable (often above about 20 °C / 68 °F) and when municipal monitoring confirms acceptable hygiene. Many unmanaged ponds and some lakes are restricted because of pollution, algal blooms, underwater hazards or the absence of lifeguards and facilities, so municipal pools and supervised areas are commonly used instead for safe swimming.
