Water Temperature: Daily Trends, Historical Records, and Forecast
✅ As of today, the minimum water temperature is above 82°F (28°C). This is very warm water, which may feel almost hot to most people. Swimming in such conditions is perfect for those seeking relaxation and comfort in the water. These waters are often preferred for relaxation in hot weather, as the water temperature does not cool the body significantly. However, it is important to remember that in such warm waters, caution is necessary, as prolonged exposure without rest can lead to overheating. It is important to note that these swimming tips and recommendations apply only in good weather. When the air temperature is below 68°F (20°C), and sometimes even below 77°F (25°C), swimming can be unpleasant even with relatively high water temperatures.

*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Bergamo province in Lombardy is served by several lakes and rivers rather than sea coastline. Surface temperatures in the region’s lakes such as Endine or the portions of Iseo near Bergamo typically range from about 6–15 °C (43–59 °F) in spring, rise to roughly 18–26 °C (64–79 °F) in summer, cool to 10–18 °C (50–64 °F) in autumn and fall to near 0–6 °C (32–43 °F) in winter. Rivers that drain the surrounding Alps and Prealps, including stretches of the Serio and Oglio, are generally colder and more variable: expect roughly 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) in spring, 12–20 °C (54–68 °F) in summer, 6–14 °C (43–57 °F) in autumn and close to 0–6 °C (32–43 °F) during winter, with faster currents keeping temperatures lower than lake surfaces.
Swimming is possible in many lake beaches and in selected, supervised river reaches during the official bathing season (commonly late spring to early autumn), when local authorities monitor water quality and safety. Restrictions are imposed when temperatures are too low, currents are hazardous, or contamination and turbidity spike after heavy rains. Mountain-fed rivers remain chilly year-round and are less suitable for casual swimming, while designated lidos and monitored lake sections offer the safest opportunities when conditions and municipal regulations allow.
