Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Neu-Ulm is a city located in Bavaria, Germany, situated across the Danube River from Ulm. The Danube River, flowing through the city, presents picturesque landscapes, but its water temperature can significantly fluctuate depending on the time of year. On average, temperatures may range from about 4°C in the colder winter months to approximately 22°C during the peak summer season. This represents a typical pattern for such Central European water bodies, with the warmest months usually being July and August.
Despite the inviting warm temperatures in the summer, swimming directly in the Danube is not commonly practiced or advised across most of its route, including the Neu-Ulm region. This is due to a couple of reasons. Primarily, the strong currents and large vessels that navigate the river can make it dangerous for swimmers. Secondarily, water quality can sometimes be problematic. While efforts have been made to improve the river's quality, and it is indeed cleaner than it was a few decades ago, it still has sporadic pollution levels the authorities keenly monitor. For safety reasons, locals and tourists are advised to use public or private swimming pools, baths, and designated natural swimming areas in lakes around the city, where conditions are controlled and regularly checked.
