In Varaždin, the Drava River flows wide and steady, giving the city a strong connection to nature. The river’s water here is influenced by upstream reservoirs and can be noticeably cooler, even in the height of summer. While the air can be very warm, the Drava usually stays refreshing, with temperatures that rarely reach the comfort of smaller lakes or shallower rivers.
