*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Duffel is a small city located in the province of Antwerp, Belgium, situated on the banks of the Nete River. The water temperature of the Nete River varies with the seasons, much like other rivers in the region. During the summer months, the river's water temperature can rise to around 18°C to 22°C (64°F to 72°F), making it more suitable for outdoor activities like swimming, although the current can sometimes be strong. However, in winter, the water temperature can drop to around 4°C to 7°C (39°F to 45°F), making swimming not only uncomfortable but potentially dangerous due to the cold and rapid currents. Swimming is generally not encouraged in the Nete River due to concerns about water quality and safety, but the river does offer opportunities for recreational boating and fishing during warmer months.
