*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Ubaye River flows through the stunning landscapes of the Ubaye Valley in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region of southeastern France. Known for its turquoise waters and mountainous backdrop, the river has a water temperature that varies significantly throughout the year. In the winter months, temperatures can drop to around 4°C (39°F), making swimming quite challenging. However, during the summer, especially from late June to early September, the water temperature can rise to a more inviting range of approximately 15°C to 20°C (59°F to 68°F), which is more suitable for swimming.
Swimming in the Ubaye River is a popular activity among locals and tourists alike, particularly during the hot summer months. The river features numerous natural pools and calm sections that provide great spots for a refreshing dip. However, potential swimmers should be aware of the river's current, especially in areas where the flow is fast, which can occur after rain or snowmelt. The surrounding scenery, with its dramatic mountains and lush vegetation, adds to the allure of taking a swim in this pristine alpine environment.
