*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Salgir River is the longest river in Crimea, flowing from the mountains near Simferopol and stretching across the steppe toward the Sivash. Its water temperature changes significantly with the seasons and with location along its course. In the mountain part near its source, the water is usually cool, around 10-14°C in spring and early summer, while in the steppe sections it can warm to 20-24°C during hot summer days. However, the Salgir is not a deep river, and in dry periods its level can drop noticeably, which also affects how quickly it heats up.
Swimming in the Salgir is not widespread, as the river is mainly valued for irrigation and as a water source. In some places near Simferopol and other settlements, locals occasionally bathe in the river during the hottest days, but it is more often used for fishing or relaxing by the water. The flow is usually gentle in the steppe areas, making short dips possible, but for longer swimming or organized recreation, people tend to choose lakes, reservoirs, or the sea.
