*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Orb River, flowing through the Hérault department in southern France, is a scenic river popular for outdoor activities, especially swimming. Originating in the Massif Central, the river travels through rugged landscapes and charming villages, including Roquebrun and Cessenon-sur-Orb. During summer, the Orb’s water temperature can reach between 20-24°C (68-75°F), making it quite comfortable for swimming. In spring, temperatures are typically cooler, around 15-18°C (59-64°F), which still attracts many visitors who enjoy the refreshing feel.
Swimming spots along the Orb are numerous, with some of the best areas located near Roquebrun, often called the Little Nice of Hérault due to its microclimate. Here, the river forms calm, clear pools and small rapids, offering a mix of deep and shallow areas ideal for all ages. Cessenon-sur-Orb also has designated swimming areas, complete with picnic spots and easy access to the water. However, swimmers should be cautious of currents in certain parts of the river, especially after heavy rain, which can cause sudden changes in water flow.
