Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The River Noord is a major distributary of the river Rhine in the Netherlands, running through the province of South Holland and connecting the city of Dordrecht to the North Sea. The river plays a crucial role in transportation and water management in the region. The water temperature in the River Noord varies seasonally. During the warmer summer months, the temperature can rise to around 18°C to 22°C (64°F to 72°F), making it suitable for swimming in certain areas. However, the river's water can still be cooler than that of lakes or other natural swimming spots, especially in early spring and late autumn when the temperature can drop to 4°C to 7°C (39°F to 45°F).
Swimming in the River Noord is not generally recommended due to strong currents, busy shipping lanes, and industrial activity in the area. The river is frequently used by commercial vessels, including large barges, which can create dangerous conditions for swimmers. Additionally, the water quality in some parts of the river may not meet the standards for recreational swimming, as the river serves both a commercial and environmental function. However, there are designated safe swimming zones along the river, especially near recreational areas where the water is monitored for cleanliness and safety.
