*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Cèze River in southern France is a beautiful, smaller tributary of the Rhône, known for its calm waters, limestone cliffs, and scenic swimming spots. Flowing for approximately 128 kilometers, the river has become popular for recreational activities, particularly swimming and kayaking. In summer, the water temperature of the Cèze often ranges between 20°C and 25°C (68-77°F), creating a comfortable environment for swimmers, especially in shallower, sunny areas where the water warms up more quickly.
The river is dotted with picturesque spots, including areas around La Roque-sur-Cèze and Goudargues, where clear pools and sandy banks make ideal locations for a relaxing swim. Visitors are drawn to the Cascades du Sautadet, a series of natural waterfalls and rock pools near La Roque-sur-Cèze. However, caution is necessary in certain parts, as currents near the waterfalls can be strong. For a safe experience, it’s recommended to swim in designated areas and to visit early in the day to avoid crowds in high season.
