Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Brněnská přehrada, also known as the Brno Reservoir, is one of the most popular summer swimming spots in South Moravia. Because of its relatively shallow sections and exposure to plenty of sunshine, the water warms up well as the season progresses. In mid-summer, temperatures often reach 23–25 °C, which feels pleasantly warm for long swims. At the beginning and end of the season, the water can be noticeably cooler, especially after rainy or windy weather, but overall the reservoir offers comfortable bathing conditions for a large part of the summer.
Swimming at Brněnská přehrada is supported by well-maintained beaches, grassy areas, and facilities that make it suitable for families, casual bathers, and sports swimmers alike. The broad surface of the lake allows plenty of space for recreational swimming as well as boating and other water sports. On hot days the combination of warm water, accessible shores, and lively atmosphere makes the reservoir one of the key places for locals and visitors to enjoy open-air swimming in the Brno region.
