*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Karaman (Turkish: Karaman) is an inland province with no coastline, so recreational bathing is limited to rivers, streams and a few reservoirs or small lakes. Water temperatures in these bodies follow the continental climate: in spring they typically range from about 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) as snowmelt and cool mountain runoff keep flows cold. Summer surface temperatures in shallow reservoirs and slow-moving stretches of river commonly warm to roughly 18–26 °C (64–79 °F), sometimes higher in very shallow or stagnant ponds. Autumn sees cooling to roughly 10–18 °C (50–64 °F), while winter river and reservoir temperatures can fall to near freezing or about 1–8 °C (34–46 °F) in cold spells, especially in flowing water fed from higher elevations.
Swimming is possible in parts of Karaman but not widespread or formally organized like coastal beaches. Many locals swim in summer when surface temperatures are comfortable, but official restrictions, variable water quality, irrigation use and sudden dam releases make some sites unsafe. Fast currents during spring melt and cold winter water present hypothermia and cold-shock risks. For safe swimming, use designated or well-known local spots in warm months, check water quality and respect signs and local regulations.
