*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Wavre is a city located in the Walloon region of Belgium, along the Dyle River, a tributary of the Senne. The water temperature in the Dyle River varies with the seasons, being colder in the winter and warmer in the summer. During the summer months, the water temperature typically ranges from 15°C to 20°C (59°F to 68°F), which can be suitable for swimming in calm sections of the river. However, swimming in the Dyle River is not a common practice, as the river passes through both urban and agricultural areas, making the water quality susceptible to pollution. While there have been efforts to improve the water quality, there are still concerns about contamination from runoff and wastewater, making swimming potentially unsafe. In the winter months, the water temperature drops to between 4°C and 7°C (39°F to 45°F), which would make swimming extremely dangerous due to cold temperatures and stronger currents.
