*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Vauvise River in central France is a modest tributary of the Loire, flowing through the departments of Cher and Nièvre. Its flow and water temperature vary significantly with the seasons. During summer, the river can reach a comfortable range for swimming, around 18°C to 22°C, but the small size and variable flow often mean it warms quickly during hot weather. In the cooler months, however, temperatures tend to drop to between 5°C and 12°C, aligning more with typical seasonal changes seen in the Loire’s tributaries.
While swimming is technically possible in certain parts of the Vauvise, it is less common due to the river's shallow sections and narrower flow. Swimming spots may not be regularly monitored, so nearby designated swimming areas along the Loire or other larger rivers might offer a safer and more enjoyable experience. In general, the Vauvise’s natural banks and quiet stretches are appreciated more for their scenic value and fishing than for swimming. Those interested in exploring the river will find it best suited for walking or picnicking along its banks rather than water-based activities.
