The Russian Ob River flows through Western Siberia. One of the largest rivers in the world. The length of the Ob is 3650 km. The river originates in Altai at the confluence of Biya and Katun. The largest cities on its banks are Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Surgut. The Ob can be subdivided into three sections: the upper one, from the confluence of the Biya and Katun to the mouth of the Tom, the middle one, to the mouth of the Irtysh, and the lower one, to the Ob Bay. In the upper section, the main tributaries are: Chumysh, Inya (right), Peschanaya, Anui, Charysh, Alei (left). The Novosibirsk Reservoir is located between Kamen-na-Obi and Novosibirsk. The water temperature in the Ob begins to rise in late spring and in June can already reach 20 degrees. In all three summer months, you can swim, the minimum temperatures do not drop below 17-18 degrees. In September, the water becomes cooler, and in October it is already rapidly dropping below 10 degrees.
