Dummy River: general information

Umanka is a river in Ukraine, within the Khristinovsky and Umansky districts of the Cherkasy region. Left tributary of Yatrani (South Bug basin). Length 43 km, catchment area 411 km². The slope of the river is 2.1 m / km. The valley is up to 2 km wide, up to 40 m deep. The floodplain is asymmetric, up to 200 m wide, with numerous lakes; there are sources. The channel is winding, up to 5 m wide, with a depth of 0.4-0.6 m in the middle course. There are springs and many ponds, the largest is Ostashevsky. Used for the needs of irrigation, fish farming.
