Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, located in the Russian Far East, experiences a harsh Arctic climate with cold temperatures throughout most of the year. The region is bordered by the Chukchi Sea to the north, and the water temperatures here are influenced by the cold Arctic waters. In summer, from June to August, the sea temperature stays relatively cold, ranging between 2°C and 6°C (36°F to 43°F).
